Our Marrakech desert trip 3 days to Merzouga includes local Moroccan guides. This program takes you on a journey from Marrakech to Merzouga via two different routes. Then you go on a desert camel ride and spend the night in a desert camp. You’ll also visit the Kasbahs of Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou. The tour is an action-packed adventure that takes you through the Hight and Anti-Atlas Mountains. This journey can be tailored to end in Fes rather than Marrakech; find out more here.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech City- Ait Ben Haddou- Ouarzazate-Dades Gorges
You will be picked up from your Riad in Marrakech city by our driver. Then you begin your three-day adventure from Marrakech to the Dades Valley via Tizi n Tichka. As a result, you go across the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for magnificent views. You then proceed to Ait ben Haddou Kasbah. You go to this UNESCO World Heritage Site for lunch. After that, you’ll travel to Ouarzazate’s Atlas Studios to see Skoura. Finally, you travel to Dades Gorge and Valley of Roses. You stay at Dades Gorge for the night, and food is included.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Sahara
After breakfast in the morning, you begin your journey to Merzouga. As a result, you’ll pass through the Bomalne Dades and arrive in Tinghir. You can visit the oasis and canyons of Todra Gorges while you’re there. You continue on from Todra Gorges to Touroug, where you will eat lunch. Second, you journey through the towns of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud. Tafilalet is the start of the Saharan oasis with palm trees. Then you’ll go to Merzouga, where you’ll take a camel ride in the desert. Finally, you pass through the golden beaches and take in the breathtaking sunset. Desert camp is where we’ll spend the night and have dinner.
Day 3: Merzouga- Draa Valley- Ouarzazate- Marrakech
You get up early in the morning for a perfect opportunity, ascend the dunes, and view a beautiful sunrise. Besides, you get a shower and breakfast by riding camels to the hotel. Second, you go through the Draa Valley on your way to Marrakech. As a result, you’ll pass through Alnif and Agdez on a beautiful desert route. There, you may see the Anti-Atlas Mountain and discover the world’s longest river. After visiting the Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate, you continue on to Marrakech. Finally, your 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga comes to a close.

My companion and I planned a three-day vacation with a private driver, Ali, who took us from Marrakesh to the Sarah Desert in Morocco. We had a great time stopping along the way to see the sights, take photos, eat, and buy for souvenirs. We slept in a Berber town for a night, saw the Game of Thrones set, and so much more.
